My brother's book about the election is coming out a month after the dust settles. You can pre-order it and whatnot.

I have a feeling he may need to add a few new chapters after today. Holy fuck...

If "grab her by the pussy" isn't the nail in the coffin, we're doomed.

The Republican Party is proving that there is no such thing as rock bottom.

This.

Also today.

SESSIONS: I don't characterize that as sexual assault. I think that's a stretch. I don't know what he meant—

TWS: So if you grab a woman by the genitals, that's not sexual assault?

SESSIONS: I don't know. It's not clear that he—how that would occur.

IMO - Condemn what he said, withdraw or withhold support/endorsement and then shut the fuck up about it. Focus on your own and other key Senate and Congressional races and pray for 11/10/16 to get here as quickly as possible.
Also, make sure your law license is active and update your resume.

There's a whole lot of people who will have a blank space on their resume, rather than admit they worked on the Trump campaign.

"Where did I work October 2015 to November 2016? Um...uh...nowhere. Yeah, nowhere. Ummm, I was backpacking across Europe...boy that Trump, wasn't he some character? What a silly goose that guy was! Yep, barely had any time to pay attention to much of anything while I was backpacking."

Congrats to your brother, Juan. I pre-ordered it. I think I told him so elsewhere.

These wikileaks emails are getting a lot of play and whatever "goodwill" or bump Hillary got from BillyBush gate is disappearing. She'll win by six points and get about 300 in the electoral college but she can't get out of her own wait no matter how awful The Orange One is.

Oh, I totally disagree. Most of these polls are over a week-long period or so, and we haven't even seen the full grab-em-by-the-pussy bump yet. When we see all the polls that start and end after last Friday, then we'll know.

I think that's probably right.

From the first moment he started to look viable I predicted that he would win 5 states max. I was wrong about what it looks like the potential was. If he had been a disciplined grown up he probably could have made a race of it. I've been following five thirty eight and he got up to a 44% probability of winning and that was within the last 3-4 weeks. So it looks, right now, like my prediction may be close, but the path he chose to get there was off. Florida's gone from light red to blue. Ditto Iowa and Ohio and, I think, North Carolina. He's going to get trucked.

I will say that the people I know that are going to vote for him are not racists or misogynists, in fact a good percentage of them are women. They just see him as the only viable vote against Hillary who they think will be a disaster. They don't give me much shit about it, though, because I've said from day 1 that I wouldn't vote for him to be on our HOA board and they know I won't vote for Hillary. What an asshole he is. And that is an opinion 25 years in the making, not something I came to over the last year or since the last debate or since pussy-grab-gate.

2 questions:

1. How badly would a Kasich/Haley ticket be crushing Hillary?

2. How badly would Joe Biden be crushing Trump?

http://www.wsj.com/articles/the-press-b ... 1476401308

The leaks also show that the press is in Mrs. Clinton’s pocket. Donna Brazile, a former Clinton staffer and a TV pundit, sent the exact wording of a coming CNN town hall question to the campaign in advance of the event. Other media allowed the Clinton camp to veto which quotes they used from interviews, worked to maximize her press events and offered campaign advice.

Mrs. Clinton has been exposed to have no core, to be someone who constantly changes her position to maximize political gain. Leaked speeches prove that she has two positions (public and private) on banks; two positions on the wealthy; two positions on borders; two positions on energy. Her team had endless discussions about what positions she should adopt to appease “the Red Army”—i.e. “the base of the Democratic Party.”

This is certainly not a reason to vote for Trump, because anyone that actually uses critical thinking skills should be able to deduce that Trump is completely unfit to be POTUS. For me, it's the reason that neither Clinton or Trump will be getting my vote.

"Never Hillary" is a very, very powerful argument for me. To get my vote against her requires you to clear a pretty low bar. He doesn't even come close.

I think until the Republicans change or unless the electorate changes, the electoral math will be hard for any Republican. I don't think any of them would have crushed her. That said, having Ohio would help with that math. Same with Rubio and Florida, although he didn't even win the FLA primary.

I don't know. I think Kasich, Rubio or even Cruz would be wiping the floor with Hillary given all of the scandals that have come out.

You mean the scandals that really aren't scandals but people are still fooled into believing them?

No. I don't think any of those three would be winning. They've all got major issues with mainstream voters.
Virtually everything GOP critics have told us would follow from the policies put in place has not come to pass. You would think that this would occasion a few mea culpas, some rethinking, an admission of poor prognostication. But, alas, it continues.

This. NONE of the "scandals" have been proven. Ever. The only proof I see is just posturing by the right wing media that doesn't actually show anything that links her. "But she totally called Mrs. Smith a bitch but NBC is keeping it hidden" is NOT proof. I wish I could explain that to my Facebook friends.

This was from April, before the totality of Hillary's dirt was brought into the light.

And before people knew much of anything about Kasich.

But I guess we can never underestimate how people can be fooled by "dirt."
