Your Best Picture vote

Postby Cortez the Killer » Sun Feb 22, 2015 6:57 pm

Place your Best Picture vote in this thread - not the film that *you think* will win Best Picture but which one would vote on, you liked best, you would watch again, etc.

I admit I only saw three of the nominees:

Grand Budapest Hotel
Boyhood
Birdman

My vote would go to Grand Budapest Hotel - it's just the most entertaining, creative, take-you-out-of-one-place-and-into-a-completely-new-place film out of the bunch.

Boyhood was creative in the sense of its logistic but the material was fairly ordinary but emotionally very real but the non-professional acting wasn't very good, as I said in a previous thread.

Birdman had the best acting - Ed Norton was a dynamo but the story itself was not cohesive and the ending was very ambiguous.

So, Best Picture = Grand Budapest Hotel.

I hope Wes Anderson never stops making movies.

I vowed to never again watch the Oscars when Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants wasn't nominated for Best Pants.
Virtually everything GOP critics have told us would follow from the policies put in place has not come to pass. You would think that this would occasion a few mea culpas, some rethinking, an admission of poor prognostication. But, alas, it continues.

The Lego movie should have been nominated for best picture.

I like the Golden Globes better. They know how to party. Emma Thompson still rules.

I loved Birdman, The Imitation Game and Boyhood. Didn't see any of the others.
It's kind of like picking your favorite kid. All of the above. And the ones I didn't see. I love movies.

Still want to hug Keira Knightley.
